New Recruit

Wed Jun 05, 2013 8:07 pm

Sup and shit ....new brewer from IL now starting to post to the boards, and a long time listener of the BN. Figured it was time to drop by and say hello to all my fellow brewers out there!

Been brewing for about 3 years (Extract 2years all grain 1year) and just submitted my "Sexual Chocolate Stout" under The Brewing Network Club name in for a competition this month (My 1st Comp!). It is being judged at the Kentucky Bluegrass Cup against roughly 450 others on June 15th so we will see if I can hold my own or not.

If any other BN Army members are out in the North Western Burbs of IL hit me up for a brew day I am in Huntley, IL.

Thanks to all the posters on this board, been lerking and reading all your tips and tricks...much appreciated.

No the name actually came from what we call our dog and not a military reference like some people think. Yes dogface is a military term though, nice catch :)

We have been calling our labrador ,Marley, the nick name "dogface" since she was born and every time I brew she is right there with me so that why I decided Dogface Brewing was a solid name for our little garage brewery.

Thank you...Sexual Chocolate came about as a reference from the movie "Coming to America" and Dogface Brewing is a reference to my Labrador "Marley"
