Batch 1 of 2. Bobcat Brown. Depending on the mash, this could be a double batch day. I'm planning on the 2nd batch tomorrow.

Update: Bringin it strong & going for the 2nd batch today.

Just mashed in an imperial rye stout. Trying to decide the hops to use. Williamette, fuggle, EKG, cascade... Lets see what all is in the freezer. Anyone have some suggestions? Gonna be 1.090 with wlp001.

I like the willamette/EKG blend idea. I think the two will play nicely with the rye addition.

Brewing an Amarillo/El Dorado IPA. This may be the first scrapped brewing session that I've ever had.

So far burner stopped working and my RIMS keeps getting stuck.

Just made a starter for a brew day tomorrow. First in 4 months!
In fact, it's the yeast that I had started back in November when I had last planned to brew.
We'll see how that works out...

Janet's Brown, of course. :drink
Gimme oysters and beer (and Durian) for dinner every day of the year...

Got my ESB in the fridge with a fermwrap and temp controller. This beer is beginning to work in rotation as my house beer.

Agreed. I think that sounds like a classic combo.

Pitched the yeast on my Janet's Brown @ 63F.
For the first brewday in 4 months, things went reasonably well. I think I remembered everything...
OG was 1.070, a little higher than I was shooting for, but I can live with it.
