30 minutes into the mash of a Dusseldorf Alt. The wind is being a bitch today though. I got a bunch of stuff stacked around my burner to help block the wind ( steel window well, steel trash can, small table.

I've got a couple ideas. Just ask him to be gentle.. at first.

It was a Honey Cal Common. Smooth brewday, and since it was at his place, I don't have to babysit the ferementor.

Dusseldorf Alt is one of my favorite styles! Do you use traditional Spalt for bittering or did Pope Jamil convert you to the way of the Magnum bittering addition?

Just finished cleaning up from my Dusseldorf Alt as well. Went with Magnum for bittering. Smooth brew day, missed my OG, blame my boil off rate.

Brewing an Extract Hefeweizen from True Brew that I received as a holiday gift from my Brother. So much for never brewing Extract again!

My first time brewing with dry yeast (came with the kit). It's a packet of Munton's Active Brewing Yeast, along with Munton's Wheat LME & HopUnion German Hallertaur.

Happy Friday All! :jnj

Sorry...missed this. I did the Pope's recipe with Magnum for bittering. I thought of leaving the Tettnang off, but I had some already so I figured what the hell.
