Day 5 on the Network and Norton has arrived.

Tue Dec 05, 2006 8:28 am

Hello I am Norton, Day 5 on the network. As you can see I live in the mountains. Joined this group to express my need to be noticed. I tried to come in the back door and a guy named milt or bub or mort told me I belonged here first in the new users forum.

With the Holidays approaching everyone should be looking for bell ringers at thier local markets and Department stores. I heard that lots of the posters here have parttime jobs during the holiday season.
Doesn't make me a bad person ? Does it?

Welcome, Norton. I have noticed that your first couple days here have been a little rough at times. Sorry about that. One thing about the people on this forum is that they generally (me included) feel that life is much too important to be taken too seriously. We all do some serious teasing of each other. It is all in good fun and not to be taken seriously. Now and then we do screw up and do that to new comers before they really understand that that it is all in jest.

We do things like accuse Seanhagerty of knowing his goats in the biblical sense, me of brewing in a thong, Justin and JP of being gay, and Bub......well, Bub is Bub. Anyway I hope you take any teasing in stride, we all get it.

If you are looking for brewing information or help, please feel free to ask away. we have many excellent, award winning brewers on board here.. Jamilz and Zymurgest are both former Ninkasi Award winners and have won more competitions than any of the rest of us could ever dream of. Jon ran off with gold medals in almost every category he entered (a bunch of them) at the NHC second round this year. Even I have won a few ribbons in competitions. Many of the folks here brew award winning beers and are willing to share what we know.

Again, welcome to the crazyness!
