I have a cover it garage (no real doors to speak of), and I brew all winter here in NH. Like previous posters have said I just limit my outdoor exposure, and I try to brew on days when the temp is not to extreme. I mash indoors and just do my boil outside. I bring the kettle in to cool and it's really not that bad. Good luck, and brew on!

Thanks, I just bought a burner and big brew pot so I didn't want to wait out the winter. My wife can't imagine why I would want to stand out in a cold garage to make beer... she doesn't get it.

BTW - I checked out your site. It's a nice little site and you should keep adding to it.

Thanks,

Rob

Another thing you can do in the winter is run your hose for your chiller outside for a while. I have spigots in the garage and in the winter run an extra 50 feet of hose outside to get the water that much colder before it gets to the chiller.

Bring what inside? His whole setup? I know there is no way I could bring everything I have inside. I just don't have the room.

2Dog your a 5gal extract brewer right? I dont see why you couldnt do it inside on the stove. It may take a bit longer to boil vs a hight btu propane burner, but it beats freezin yer arse off. Remember how cold it was last year? I was outside brewin in the negative degree temps. Man that sucked.
