Another West Virginia Brewer!

Thu Nov 30, 2006 6:23 pm

Hey, Just discovered this site, actually read about it in BYO a couple of issues back. Very Cool! I've been brewing for about 11 years, all grain for about 5 years. I have an American Stout in the fermenter now.

I see there are some other brewers from WV here. I've lived here about 2.5 years, originally from Sacramento, CA - met my wife there, she is from Sterling, VA so we moved out this way.

Nice to know there are other brewers in WV.

Nothin' a little Starsan won't take care of!

My inlaws live right on the border between Sterling and Herndon, I work in Leesburg.

Hey Bill, I'm up in Hagerstown, MD, about 1/2 hr from ya
We got a small brew club up here, we meet the first FRIDAY of every month here is our web site
http://www.thehops.org/
Our club does not have any dues, just a bunch of die hard brewers

We meet at the Cracked Cork Homebrewing shop
http://www.crackedcork.com/

I have my Sabco Brew Magic there for all to brew on
I will be brewing there Sat Dec 2 if you are not doing anything, pay us a visit

Cool, the only brew shop I knew of in the area was The Flying Barrel in Frederick, it's nice to know there is another one. I do want to join a club again, I used to belong to a club in Sacramento, but now that I have 2 kids I don't get much time, so I probably wouldn't make many meetings. I hope to join you sometime though.
