Make sure it is Carafa SPECIAL III, the de-husked version.

You'll have to post again when that is finished. I'm looking for a good black IPA recipe, and that one sounds very good!

Good luck and Happy Brewing

Looks pretty good-
Let us know how it turns out.

Something to think about in a future batch - try cutting the bittering addition way low (like to 1/4 oz) and add a boatload at 15, 10 & 5 mins, but aim for the same total ibus. Keep the rest the same. Then try them side by side and see what you like better and tweak from there.

I brewed a CDA a couple of weeks ago and used Briess' Midnight Wheat (1# in a 5 gallon batch) and it was outstanding. I have yet to try the dehusked dark malt.

Let us know how it turns out.

I'll definitely post the results. Im waiting for my Helles to finish lagering, and i'll need my ferm fridge for a week to start the fermentation on my Brett Golden Strong before letting the temps run. Then, I'll get this sucker brewed up.
