Just listened to the mead show and figured you guys could use a little porn

5 gallons of apple blossom mead:

3 gallons of Mint/Starthistle mead:

5 gallons of Hefty Braggot from Ken Schramm's book:

Both meads have had the bentonite/sparkolloid treatment, but the braggot hasn't. I'll post another pic when I get the braggot clear.

That looks fluffin' good!
Now, if Oskaar would post his Cyser recipes..... He has some awsome meads, I was lucky enough to taste some of them.

BTW, if you need any help to properly dispose of your meads, let me know

Dude,

You gonna enter those in the Home Mead Makers Competition at the Interational Mead Festival. You should, mint starthistle is a great combination, and apple blossom is a pretty rare (honeywise) entry. I'd love to judge those suckers!

Cheers,

Oskaar

You wanna Cyser??

Sat Nov 04, 2006 2:10 am

OK Brewbear, I'll post a cyser recipe for you. LOL

How 'bout I post one you haven't seen or tasted yet?

Justin told me to post one that is simple (the Oskaarz Basci Traditional Sweet Mead) so I figure I'll post up one that is a freakin challenge for those of you who like to micromanage their mead!

I think I may actually brew a mead...??? It was just so damn good the other night. Do I need to learn to brew good beer first or should I just jump right in like everything else I do? :?

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.
