I was a guest in your part of tent city many times (probably more than I can remember) while stationed there. I went for a ride in a VC-10 with the RAF and had a good time!

When I went back on a deployment, the fun had died down because the OPSTEMPO was so high. I have great memories of Turkey, except the beer.

Hey, I am from Wichita Falls. Lived there the first 27 years of my life. Now I live in CT. My wife is from VA too. Her dad was the IG at Shepard back in the 80's. I know tons of people there and all the in's and outs of that town. ...the stories I could tell. The first brews I ever did were when I lived over on the end of 10th street (near Stanley's) back in '91.

Brewing is awesome. I have never brewed an all-grain batch (though that's fixin to change) and I brew great beers IMHO. Keep at it and keep listening to the BN.

I got strept throat from drinking Efes when I was stationed at Incirlik as a young Lieutenant. It was a dirty bottle that came directly from the local brewery which was on the main highway to Adana if I remember right. Mmm good (I mean the penicillin).
