I love Guinness and Fat Tire Amber. Do you like them?

Those are great transition beers. I have found that a lot of people drink Guiness and feel that it is way too heavy. I personally find it light bodied. If I am going to go with a stout I will choose a San Quentin Breakout Stout or Bear Republics Big Bear Stout.

In regards Fat Tire. Again this is a fine transitional beer when leaving behind coors and bud{note no capitol letters}. If you are interested in a nice pale or red ale I would recommend Descutes Pale or for a nice California Pale ale you might try Marin Brew Pale Ale.

Yeah sir, those are good points and I will glady try the recommended beers. We'll have to hook up sometime and head to Marin Brew so I can give the pale ales a shot.

It's kind of hard to give up Guinness for another stout. I've never had an independent stout that I actually liked. There's nothing like drinking Guinness from the source. Everytime I've been in Ireland, I've headed straight for the Guinness factory in downtown Dublin. When you go on tour, you get 2 coupons for free pints at the end of the tour. Anthony didn't want his extra one, so that left me with 3 fresh pints right at the end. Well I hadn't had lunch that day, so you can probably guess what happened. That Guinness is strong stuff alright.
