Spa pump uses?

Wed Feb 02, 2011 11:39 am

So they're renovating a bathroom in my building, and I "found" (read: took from the dumpster) a spa pump. How can I use it in brewing? I's probably too beefy for wort handling, but what about for cleaning or chilling? Has anyone used a spa pump for anything? I'm open to any suggestion, nothing is too weird.

If I can't use it, I'll ebay it and use the money for something useful.

Check under the beer gadgets part on the home page "BN Articles" --> Beer Gadgets, there is a keg cleaner and a circulating temp controller that you may be able to re-purpose your new pump for. I don't know specifics, but those are some ideas to get you started.
