Redhook Late harvest ale

Wed Oct 06, 2010 10:27 pm

I picked up a six pack of this the other day and must say I was blown away. Ive never had a beer where the flavors meld so perfectly together. I could not tell where the caramel stopped and the fruityness of the hops began. The package discribed this beer as subtle and balanced and I would say thats the understatement of the year. If its in your area I would definitely pick this up.

Prost!

I agree the harvest ale is pretty tasty. I had it on tap and was pleasantly surprised. Not as good as the Descutes Oktoberfest I had, but I can't get that in a bottle. I promptly picked up a six pack. I can't say it was an exceptional beer as after enjoying the six pack I didn't feel the need to buy more, but a very clean and fairly balanced beer.
