I'm still here! Sorry all! My laptop took a shit a couple weeks ago and I haven't been checking in on the forum since. Funny how you can just completely ignore something just because your computer is down. I have my laptop at work, but for some reason never thought about checking in with it. Guess it just doesn't feel right when it's not yours. Anyway, things are going great. My treatments are getting easier to deal with and hopefully I'll only have a few more before I can begin some radiation therapy and surgery. The idea is too kill the smaller, invisible tumors on my liver with some sort of radiation device that's implanted directly in the liver, let that go to work and then begin to resection the liver. The problem last time was that the surgeon could only remove what he could see, so if there were tiny areas of growth, he couldn't see them to remove them. Now, the invisible bastards will be dead and he'll take about half my liver, let it regenerate, then remove the other half. Essentially it will be a liver transplant without needing a donor. Once it's all done I'll have a whole new liver and hopefully it will be disease free. My surgeon is extremely talented and well respected in his field and I have total confidence that I'll be 100% before the end of 2011. I'm really excited and optimistic about the direction I'm heading. Thank you again to everyone for all the support and well wishes. I can't say it enough. I really think that you all have played a huge role in my progress and it means the world to me.
