Here's another shout out to Tasty for an Awesome recipe. Just found out I took 2nd place in the American Ale Category at the New England Regional Homebrew Competition with Janet's Brown. Lost out to a Mirror Pond Clone, I wonder where that recipe came from???? Don't have my score sheets yet but I am excited to see what th judges had to say about it.

American Brown Ales don't get enough respect as far as I'm concerned. A second in that comp is a pretty big deal. Way to go. Most of my judges sheets on that beer seem more about simply how good the beer tastes. I suspect yours will be similar. Congrats.

OK, call me stupid... call me lazy... even call me technologically challenged... but I've been searching for Tasty's Imperial Janet's Brown recipe, and I've come up empty, save of course for a bazillion references that drool over how friggin' GREAT it is.

I'm double-brewing this weekend - a CYBI Dead Guy and the Janet's Brown - but if I can make a late substitution, I may go for the Imperial version of the latter.

Does anyone know where I can find the particulars of this fine recipe - e.g., WHICH edition of Zymurgy (and I hope it wasn't published too long ago)? Or if you can, you can even just spell it out for this dummy!!!

Thanks, all!!
