Hello from Minnesota

Hey guys, just though I would introduce myself. My name is Ben, I have been brewing with my Dad and brother for about 2 years now. We spent the first year extract brewing and then decided to take the plunge into all grain. We were lucky enough to know someone who knows how to weld so we were able to modify some 16 gallon kegs and make a 2 tiered brewing cart.

I have been listening to the shows for about 4-5 months now and am currently working my way through the archives and our brewing has become exponentially better for it. We are going to be entering our beers into competition for the first time ever at the Minnesota State Fair and even though I don't really expect to win anything, it should be a lot of fun to get some BJCP scores and feedback.

Yeah, we definitely hit the NHC this year and it was amazing! It could not have worked out any better since we all live within 20 minutes of the hotel. Still stayed at the hotel however because driving would have been an issue...

I just went and turned in our entries at Northern Brewer. We entered 5 beers:
- Oatmeal Stout
- American Pale Ale
- American Brown Ale
- Old Ale
- Brown Shugga clone for category 23

What beers did you enter?

and an Irish Red
