Finally started listening to all the archives a couple weeks ago...great stuff!

Can't wait to tune in for a full show live on Sunday! Caught the last 20 minutes of the last live show.

Been brewing for about 2 years now. Started out with extract brewing, did several batches of those and then a partial mash clone of Chimay Blue (still have plenty of bottles of that!). Came out stronger than the original product, but I loved working with that amoun of grain.

Finally went All grain About a year ago in the process of upgrading my setup so we could have 2 kegs to serve at every one of the school football games that we went to that year. Currently I'm on a hiatus while setting up my stuff to brew in my new apartment. (Was at parent's house after graduating) Hoping to brew sometime in the next month.

Welcome to the forum, dude. When I lived closer to my school (a long time ago), I used to take homebrew, too. It definitely beats all the swill that the rest of the alumni and students are drinking. What's going to be your first batch in your new brewery?

Some kind of an Autumn Ale I think. I'm looking for something not quite as hoppy (Now that the seasons are changing...) Something with a bit of malt complexity and some hops still. I tried redhook's Late Harvest Ale...not bad, kind of what I'm shooting for I think!

Yeah, rolling up to a game, dropping the tailgate and sliding forward a jockey box with two taps definitely turned heads. Especially as soon as the tap was first poured...plenty of times did we hear "Is that draught beer??" Was fun to make the old school alumni with their setups and stuff jealous. Wouldn't believe how many mini-kegs were at their setups in following games!

I moved out a while ago and I still brew at my parent's house! I just have too much stuff to bring and a my apartment is usually a mess (3 guys... whaddaya gonna do!).

I too bring homebrew to the tailgates! As soon as I get a chest freezer I will start making a Tailgate Lager. What do you normally bring out?

Luckily SWMBO likes my brewing, so I'm golden and have it all up in our loft! (Still need to organize the loft in general though )

Usually we had an IPA on tap and then the second tap would rotate. Hefes, Irish Red one time..all good stuff. (Having to produce beer on a set schedule sucked!!) I think I was brewing twice if not three times a month!!

Actually have a great shot of the school mascot with his head under the tap!

No tailgating this year though...*shrug* oh well. Office cookout though is coming up, gonna have to prep for that! That and stocking the new bar that we built. (Building a refrigerated bar from the ground up is tough! Still have issues with the doors and some dripping of condensation when the freezer tray turns off...and I'm not an HVAC guy either!)

Welcome! I lived in Manassas, VA for 35 years, not far from where you live. How's traffic these days on 495 and I-66? That's one thing I don't miss about that area. I do miss the access to all types of ethnic foods and goods though. I live in the semi boonies of MI now.

Oh traffic is absolute shite! Luckily I don't have to deal 495/66 on a regular basis anymore! Went from an hour + commute to 15 minutes!

So, I didn't get to do my innaugural brews on Sunday. (Had to go into work...) BUT...it's going down tonight! Got all my gear out in the kitchen and my grain is weighed and crushed and just waiting for me to get home! (Hops are floating around somewhere too, as is the yeast...)
