Welcome man! You will definitely have a lot of fun listening and learning here. Go save some bucks and get a batch of beer going! Then the fun really starts!

I am in garden grove now, but plan to move asap, just somewhere north, maybe Portland. Wow, I am so glad to see all these responses, I have never done a forum thing before, hah. Anyway, I want to start brewing! Should I start with a kit or not? And I think I want to do a stout, is that a bad idea for a first?

Gosh, just to add on to this noob thing I have going for me (Heh) I have no idea where to post what! Is there anyway I can friend someone to ask silly questions like this? For example, I would like to pick up some books on brewing, but can't find a thread that talks about this... what do I do?! Help? Please? Chick in need... :?
