Propane Regulator for Brew Stand

Wed Dec 09, 2009 8:18 am

I am welding together a single tier brew stand and I am going to buy some of the black pipe today. To start I am just using some outdoor cooker burners that i have that come with 10psi regulators. I am wondering if I need a 20 or 30psi reg for the main supply. Its gonna be 1/2" black pipe. Will 10 psi at the tank be enough to run two burners at the same time? Or 3 burners if I ever had that need? Thanks.

Looks great. I currently run three burners on the same reg, and have not had a problem. I will let you know that there has never been a time that I have needed all three blazin'.
Good luck and enjoy.

Update pics. I will be finishing the gas tomorrow and try running them at the same time to see if there is a drop as the next one lights up. Then I am gonna look into wiring up a couple switches for turning the pumps on and off instead of having to unplug them.

I use this regulator for my brew stand. Plenty of power to run 2 burners at once. http://www.bayouclassicdepot.com/7850_p ... ulator.htm

Thanks. That may be my first addition. Going to fire them up later on.

These are the switches to control the two pumps.

Got some flexible conduit that worked nicely.

Almost there. Hope to be brewing on it in a couple weeks. Ordered the 30 psi regulator from bayou classic. The 10psi just didnt seem to be enough.

New Pics of Single Tier Brew Sculpture. Just need to buy one more pump and then figure out how to mount the two pumps solidly and then I am ready to brew.

Gonna get a larger HLT soon. That one is just too small.

Got two waterproof switches that control two different plugs for my two pumps. No more plugging in and out of a extension cord laying in a puddle of water and beer.
