I have been brewing for the last 2+ years. So far I only have done extract. Most have been great. I have branched out into wine (very temperamental), and mead (requires excessive patience). One day soon I will probably try a mini mash.
I work with Bub (Boob - per Justin). He made the original recommendation to get a started kit from B3. He suggested that I don't spend too much just in case I don't stick with it. Well I did stick with it, invested a small bunch more and even scored two firsts and a second with the only three beers I ever submitted to a contest.
I recently got a fridge and may try a lager or chilling a Kolsch. Other recent equipment additions are wort chiller, elastomer flask (2 litre), and Oxygen. Next, stir plate and temperature controller.
One of these days I am going to finish my basement. I told my wife that I wanted to add a brew kitchen fully expecting her head to wag or eyes to roll to the back of her head (along with the concept

I have two kits waiting for me to brew; Matt's double barrel ale and Jamil’s chocolate hazelnut porter. Yum yum!
Anyone wonder what Terabrew means? It was the name I gave a Belgian Wit which I brewed for a project at work. The project involved a Teradata data warehouse. The beer was terrific.
