One of the founders of BN

Sat Jun 04, 2005 10:00 am

I suppose I should include myself in the new users post as we are all new users here.

My name is Justin Crossley. I live in the San Francisco Bay area (Pacheco to be exact). I am a brewer and a broadcaster, and sometimes a bartender. I have founded The brewing Network, along with good friend Jon (you will hear from him) to combine my love of broadcsting with my love for beer and to give brewing a voice that it has never had before. I have a dog (The Bisket), a microphone (no name yet), and an up and coming beer belly (growing faster than I ever expected).

The rest will surely be revealed on air as I tend to just blurt it all out. If asked, I pretty much tell.

thanks please,
justin

So Mom & Dad ran off with a bunch of Vegas cash... you blitzed to Europe after college and picked up Daniella (?)... somehow you ended up renting a house in the San Francisco suburbs...

Am I missing anything? :D

The web casts are da bomb! I work a weird shift on the day job, and have a bunch of kids to raise which messes up the weekends for me. I am not able to get the "live" webcasts, but the archives are very much appreciated. You guys crack me up, and deliver a wealth of information which I've always found useful in one way or another. Keep up the great webcasts, keep it real as you guys do, and may God bless all of you and whatever endeavors that you get into.

Keep feeding us "newbies" in the brewing community.

This got me puzzled for a moment. Why would J post in the new users forum now?

Then I say that the original post was a year ago ;)

Love the show man, I started listening to shows since April and am now addicted where I listen to 2-3 shows a week an my I Pod.
I brewed my 1st batch about 5 weeks ago and bottled last week. You are probably saying "how can anyone be so patient with beer, jeeesh?
If my brew comes out decent I will send you a few bottles. It is an all Centennial IPA with an Irish Ale yeast.

Congrats on all the awards for TBN, I hope you are like the proud father as you are the ringleader. Your time will come, and when it does I am sure it will be in grand style.

Slainte.

I enjoy the podcasts also! I listened to the 7/23/06 one today on my drfive from Milwaukee up to Stevens Point. Stir your mash and move the thermometer around to different parts of the mash. Your low mashing temp wasn't a screw-up, it was a decoction step mash!
I brew, therefore I am.

Hey Justin thanks for the reply as I am touched that you took the time. This definetly goes on the top of my list of all the great brewing celebrities that have responded to my questions. It is a really tremendous network of people.
I have gotten help from Charlie Talley, Jim Palmer and even Jamil.
But your are the top dog.

Regarding your brother at the CIA. Does he plan on persuing his career in NYC after graduation? If he needs a place to stay for a few days for interviews, my wife and I would be happy to put him up.
Keep the shows coming[/b]
