Cheap Submersible Pump to recirc Cooling Water

Thu Sep 24, 2009 2:59 pm

Is this big enough to recirc cold water thru my immersion chiller?

Anybody have any rec's? My cheap, fountain pump called it quits yesterday.

But not before I got it down to 72 F....love the whirlpool chiller!

I use this bad boy. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=25780-335-S1300/R6S&lpage=none It's been bulletproof so far. I use it to recirc ice water, and also to recirculate pbw through kegs. I haven't wanted for more power or durability. http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/Beer-Gadgets/Doc-Tasty-Style-Keg-Cleaner

I use the same pump for Recircing ice water though a imersion chiller, also use it for keg cleaning with a home build assembly.

I got it from the "Sportsman's wharehouse" but I don't see them anymore, it works great, total workhorse.
