found a guy down the street selling a used Haier 50 bottle wine fridge for $100 (I talked him down to $90) and happily rolled it home with a hand truck.

It can fit a 6 or 6.5 G (the one in the pic) carboy without any modificatin to the door or inside, I just pulled out all the wire shelves and cleaned
it out. I can also fit (2) 5 gallon cornies in there, and maybe a scottie on the compressor bump!
The pics are of my most recent brew a Blonde Ale, at this point I dont have a temp control unit hooked up and am just using the numerical dial on the
fridge, its harder than I thought to be precise with it, but from initial tests it looks like I should have no problem fermenting ales and lagers with it.
I will feel more comfortable once I get a Ranco installed but for now it beats swapping ice. Also loving the glass door to monitor the fermentation
and temp.
