after drinking a 4 pack of oskar blues old chub ( a wee heavy) plus some other wee heavy's this week, im struck by the resemblance to Belgian strong dark.anyone else notice this???
malt wise the biggest diference i find is that touch of roast that some add to their Scottish ale, switch yeasts and you would be wicked close to a good Quad. anyways, what im curious about is if there has been any style bleed, i know the Belgians are quite into brewing strong Scottish beers.
