im brewing up the cybi clone of this tomorrow and ive hit a snag. recipe calls for 4 OZ of columbus at 10min to give you 40 IBU.
at 14%AA 4 oz of the columbus hops i have give me 56IBU, to get it to 40IBU i must drop it to about a 3 oz addition. Having tasted this beer i feel that the volatile hop oils from this addition are almost as important as the bitterness.
do I cut the bittering addition down 10 IBUS? or possibly take that extra oz of columbus and add it at flameout?
would love some advice
