Hello from Sunny San Diego!

I have been brewing since 1997 and was an avid brewer till 2001 when moving to a small condo left me without an attached garage! Now I finally moved into a house and have my garage setup to full effect. I am an all grain brewer and believe in doing almost everything myself. My entire garage is dedicated to brewing.

I crush my own grain and even occassionaly roast my own specialty grains. I also culture yeast. I took a 3 year hiatus from brewing but have been back my old ways for the last 6 months or so! So the 3-tap kegerator is setup again and my carboys are ready for precious wort to ferment. I have won a few awards at the San Diego County Fair (used to be Del Mar Fair) and even took sweepstakes in 2000 with a Strong Scottch Ale (Wee Heavy) I beat out 700+ beers as the absolute best! What a year that was!

I am very interested in the science of beer and hope to be a contributing member to this great network of brewing knowledge!

Welcome back. Nice avatar. This forum is fairly young, but growing nicely. Glad to have another aboard.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.
