Why do we send food aid to North Korea?

Thu Jul 02, 2009 3:41 am

I thought they were the bad guys. If it's for humanitarian reasons then why aren't we feeding our own starving people before we worry about the people who develop WMD's for our enemies?

we are sending food to the hungry people in N Korea. Not to the leaders. It kinda goes back to the whole vietnam idea of "Winning the hearts and minds" but we are just doing that with the people of a bad (read" Shit ass crazy") government.
Cheers!

Why is it our responsibility? I don't want to pay for that. If those poor people got hungry enough maybe they would get off their asses and revolt.

With what, dude? Their whack-job immortal leader has nukes, and they confiscated the guns. (that's why we have the second amendment, to protect us from the government) It's a humanitarian thing. Of course, the world will hate us for it.
