I have mine down to about 3 1/2-4 hrs. planning ahead really makes a difference.

Currently it's about a thirty minutes short of making beer that I like.

While I average 6 hours per brew, it really depends on my mash schedule for that brew. For a single infusion mash, I can do a complete brew in about 4 hours, including cleanup. Unfortunately, I do a lot of step mashes and decoctions too, so a 3 or 4 step infusion mash is around six hours, and double decocts takes a minimum of six hours, and a triple 8. So I figure I spend eight hours on making beer, and another two hours on all the associated stuff like packaging and maintenance, so 10 hours to enjoy a tapful of either CO2 or Nitro pour taps whenever I feel like a beer (which is usually 24/7/365.249) per week, which isn't all that bad, especially since its mine -- but I'm always willing to share and enjoy!

Cheers, prost, and slainte!

OK, now I feel like a rank amature. I brew a kit in about 1.5 hours and extract in about 4. I have to do everything the hard way. I do 5 gallon partial boil batches in the kitchen, on the stove, while the family does their thing around me( That's right Jamile, no surgiacal masks or rubber gloves here.). So to make things even slower than that I bottle. I have been putting myself through that torture for almost 15 years now. I have it down to a science. I use a drill with a bottle brush to speed cleaning. The rest still sucks. It's still the best beer I've ever had, it's mine.

 I have to wonder if meth is needed prior to the brewing. That's the only way I can see to get that much done in that time frame. :D
