I know, I know... Jamil made reference one time about people looking for recipe's and changing them before they even try them as is. I didn't change it on purpose... I think I doubled up on one of the hop additions with out realizing it.

Thanks again Denny. Now, on to one of your other recipe's.

I got this recipe from Let's Brew, in Portland, OR.

Hop Rod Rye Clone

Malts/Grains: 1 1/2 lb Rye, 1lb munich, 1lb 2row, 1/2lb med. Crystal
Quantity of water at boil: 2 gal
liquid malt extract: 7lb Light
total boil time: 1 hr
centennial 4oz 60 min
cascade 2oz 15 min
cascade 2oz 1 min
cal ale yeast
dry hops after 1 week: 2 oz cascade
ferment at around 67 degrees F
I didn't record my OG, but TG was 1.005

very dry, and I didn't compare to the actual beer, side by side, but it was one of the best IPA's or Pale Ales' that I have brewed. I recommend it

having brewed it, i feel that denny's rye IPA is similar yet way better then hop rod. hop rod has more of a candi sweetness thing going on, DRIPA finishes way drier on the palette. try denny's recipe as a start and then adjust from there
