thanks for the pic. I have six bines and that equals a lot of hops. I might try two fans this year. I like this idea! Cheep too! Question, do you put the hops in front or behind the fan pulling the moisture out of the hops? :bnarmy:

Here in Mi we have a fledgling commercial hop industry. In an article last year I read about one of these hop farmers that are using an oast built out of an old dresser. I think he based it off of plans from either the books Brew Ware by Lutzen & Stevens or The Homebrewers Garden by Fisher & Fisher.

If I have the story right he has about 400 plants on a half an acre or so and dried them all in his old dresser oast.

I believe that it was Saranac Hop Farm. Problem is there is almost no web presence for the company. If you can find some contact information you could try calling or emailing that place about an oast.
