Damnation Batch 001

I'm at the point in the arhcives where the brewcasters, and basically anyone else who had ever been on the show, celebrated Doctoberfest. The show originally aired October 14/15 2007. On the show they cracked a year old 3 liter(?) bottle of Damnation and Doc said it was "damn good"

This got me thinking. I was lucky enough to score an early case of Damnation back in, I'm guessing, '05 or '06. I have a handful of them left and even one of them was in the fridge so I decided to crack it.

You can tell it's not new damnation, but my goodness was it fantastic.

I'm not sure of I'm a moron for opening a batch 001 bottle, but whatever, I have more and it was fantastic. It's also well past the recommended length of aging and it's not going to last forever.

oh, and later on in the same show Sven opened a bottle of Alesmith Decadence that was brewer to celebrate Alesmith's 10th anniversary.

I have an original bottle of that in the fridge still and an unopened case in storage.

Anyone know if the video from that show is still available?

I've got 13 bottles of Decadence and 5 bottles of Damnation 001. I've got enough good old stuff (case of 2004 Alesmith Speedway Stout and a case of the last batch of SPF 45 Tomme Arthur brewed at Pizza Port Solana Beach before moving the the production brewery in San marcos) to make 4 cases so.....come on over?
