When I built my system, I wasn't sure what the best setup would be. I didn't have the money for a Brutus Ten. I wanted something that would be easily upgradable. So I mounted my burners in a steel shelving unit. I can't weld so that's another factor. The shelving unit works perfectly, is completely stable and has big advantages over a welded unit. I can take it apart for storage or to take it to a friend's house to brew. My sculpture is endlessly reconfigurable and upgradeable too. It's probably cheaper than a welded unit. I have added some cheap upgrades like a remote controlled switch for my pump ($15), pushbutton electric ignition for my propane burners ($40), and digital thermometers for my HLT and mash tun ($7 ea). Piece by piece it get's better.

I am in the middle of building a stand and my old man just bought the same kind of rack as you have and that was the first thing i thought of. Nice and easey.
Normal is getting dressed and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for, in order to get the job you need to pay for the cloths and the car and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

I know! I thought about that after I had finished it. Gives me something to plan for later.

Thanks! It's still not quite finished. I am waiting for a few stainless fittings, and working on making it wirelessly connect to my network. Does anyone know of another brewing system that can be wirelessly controlled over a network?

Ideally....meaning money is no object....I'd have my own professional brewery. And I would live there. Just sayin'.
