No worries. If you keep firing up those burners inches away from her maple cabinets - you will have your bachelorhood back.
Seriously bro... I hope you have some industrial vent in that kitchen. I have aspirations (no pun intended) of brewing inside with gas burners - but this is not at all what I had envisioned.

It's back already. The ex took a hike June 17, 2006 (Praise The Lord!), and the cabinets didn't even get warm.
I'm afraid these are not very high powered gas burners. They're some Chinese junk that will barely heat 6 gallons from RT to 180 in an hour.

I have one good burner that's in a jet cooker (not pictured), and I'm going to sub it on the BK side before the next brew. But believe me guys, I'm big on safety. My main concern was gas leaks (there were none). The dinky burners only ran one at a time, and it was cold as a rat's ass that day (20 F). No way I was going to brew outdoors.
I was on top of it. Honest. I work too hard for the privilege of living in this padded cave to burn it down or asphyxiate myself. And all that nice heat was used to warm the house instead of the woods.
