Casual drinkers and brewing

Man, I like my 3 or so beers a night. I can't imagine not doing it. Well....except last night I only had 2 Moose Drools. Trying to figure out if I want to jump on the bandwagon with that one or not.

i'm with you, i like to drink at least 2-4 a night and then on friday night a few of us get together and have friday night communion and put away a few more. usually on my weekends off, which is every other, i start about noon and sip throughout the day. so i need to go to those dam meetings naw

SWEET!!! I was beginning to think I had a problem or something cause I was the only one drinking 3 beers a day.

You sound like the perfect brewer for big beers--barley wines and imperial stouts--that need to be aged for a long time and will last a long time. You need to dive right into homebrewing, dude.

Drink more beer. Remember a drink a day is supposed to be good for you. If you don't like getting "buzzed" all the time, brew lower gravity beers. Hypothetically, if beer had no alcohol in it, what would stop you from drinking 3 or 4 a day? Just substitute it for the pepsi you normally drink, and as your tolerance builds up, increase the gravity accordingly.

I thought I was a casual drinker but then i look at all the bottles on the counter by the sink and have to think...

Usually 1 per day ( per the doctor )...and a couple per day on the weekends. Unless it is hot and I'm doing yard work, then it's a few. No wonder my lawn looks like shit all the time.

Just remember, a beer with an ABV below 2% tends to taste... funny. You can try it but you might find you'd rather just drink the wort. Shoot for a starting ABV of 2% and ramp up from there if you want; you'll be glad you did.
