How do you transfer your wort from the kettle? Do you siphon? Are the crossmembers in the way from the sculpture?

Just looking at designs so I can build one and appreciate learning from others' experiences.

I think your burners are too small

j/k I bet You will get to a boil in 30 seconds with those...

any worries about the legs for the mash tun folding in? Id add a fold down brace to keep those from moving so while your stirring it doesnt end up spilling out all over your legs and floor.

watch your mash tun....looks like it could melt if the burner was going...or your stand will heat up...

I transfer from the kettle to the fermentor with a march pump that's mounted to a plate at the bottom of the frame. Cross braces are not in the way. With weight on them, the table legs are sturdy. Plus, they have pins that hold them in place.

Mash tun does get a little warm. I'll probably add a heat shield. Here are some pictures from the first session on it.

I figured I should give credit where credit is due. It's not finished yet, but here's my on-the-cheap copied space-saving design.

I've still got to get the wheels, add a bit more bracing and pick up one more burner. I stole the leg off an old folding table instead of trying to make my own. I'm paranoid about kicking the legs out from under the mashtun and dumping all that precious wort (not to mention the burns incurred while trying to save it).

Right on! That looks awesome! On the legs on mine, they are not rock solid, but I'm not worried about them getting kicked out. They've got pins holding them in place. That with the weigh of the MLT keep them pretty sturdy. Again, great looking fold-and-go you've got there!

Well, my new 15 gallon pot from B3 didn't fit. Perfect excuse to have some modifications made.

Dropped it off with the welder and will have pictures of Version 2.0 soon.

1. Raising the middle horizontal brace and table top to 17" over the lower burner surface.
2. Adding 3" in width in all directions.
3. Adding another folding table on the other side that will be 3" longer than the first one. The second one will just be a work surface.
4. Cutting the legs off the top burner and rebracing them so the cook surface is solid.
5. Moving the gas line inside the frame by necessity.
6. Lengthening the legs for the added height of the table.
7. Kicking the casters out a little for more stability.

Should be great. Getting ready for my first 10 gallon batch.

And, yes, I did consider just using the pump and putting the 15 gallon kettle on top. But I really like gravity for a majority of things and were I to use a pump for everything, I'd want a flat stand (and I just don't have the room to store it).
