Brewing Marzen! Happy march!

Its the first day of March and time to brew Marzen! Anyone else planning a celebratory brew?
On Deck: Bier de Garde, Northern German Pils
In Fermenters: Homegrown Pale Ale
in keg: Octoberweizen, Dusseldorf Alt

I had been planning my first lager, which was going to be a marzen, but there is a shortage of chest freezers on craigslist right now.

Brewed a marzen a couple of weeks ago, looks like it will be largering through all of March and a bit beyond. Kinda doubt it will still be around come October. ;)

Might not get to mine until later in the month, possibly in April. Will not miss it, though, this is one of my favorites. I think it's one of my friends favorites as well but that may be because of the Oktoberfest party that I throw where we drink it all.
Prim: Broken Neck Wheat

Take a look at the Brewing Classic Styles Recipe. It's written for extract.
