The Russian River one is a sour barrel.
The Buffalo Trace one we will probably heat sanitize it with hot water although I would think the Whiskey that was in it and that is still in the wood would be keeping any real problems at bay. I think we are going to do an old ale in it so if there is some brett in it then all will still be good.

Hey, I talked to Vinnie about your barrel. He only aged one beer in it and it was Sanctification. 8)

I have a water jug mounted on my crankenstein. I just have two wooden blocks cut with hole saws. The top block has a slightly bigger hole to let the jug inside it, the bottom block is small enough to not let the jug fall inside it. Simple but pretty effective.
