And if you call it a "kegglette", I'm outta here. First I'll spread the rumor that you're gay (not that there's anything wrong with that  ), then I'm outta here.

I remember my first Keggle. :)

They work fine, I built my first all grain system using 1/4's. Then moved to 1/2's when I needed more capacity. I always thought that a 1/4 would make a good fermenter for 5 gallon batches. Easier to lift in and out of chest freezers.
Prost!

Yep... just sayin'...

Seriously, once you start doing AG you will want to do 10G batches. It's 4 hours for a 5G batch vs. 5 hours for a 10G batch.

There is nothing wrong with using a 1/4 keglette. Don't mind Mylo, he's just mean.

Functionally, it will serve your purpose. You may not get a full 5 gallons, depending on the bottom contour, I know you lose a gallon or so from a Keggle.

Good luck-

A Kegglette : All the work and money involved to make a keggle, half the capacity.

The shape is hardly optimal for it--you'll have fantastic boil off % and probably a lot of leftover wort (based on %)
