ProMash .rec files of JZ's show recipes are hosted at beerdujour.com. And .rec files from infamous brewrats are hosted at skotrat.com. ProMash may be old school, but it was the standard for so long that there's a buttload of recipes in that format available.

Prices have gotten so high, I'm re-thinking that. Where I used to make a 10 gallon batches to go into my 12 gallon conicals, on session beers, I now make 15 gallon batches and put 5 in a carboy. Same labor, more beer.

I hear you on that, I never thought of homebrewing as a way to save money, but all of a sudden, cases are $35, 6 packs are $10, and I can make 2.5 cases of beer at home for $40.

Crazy. Beer's been $10 a sixer for the last decade here. I was braced for the price increase, and it never happened, with the exception of Rogue going up about a buck. Now all of a sudden were getting some actual variety in our market too. Just got Avery and Magic Hat recently.

PS Great idea for a show. I need to get a new computer. I haven't been able to listen to the BN since last summer when my laptop died. My desktop is from the 90's and won't run the software needed to either listen live, or talk to my MP3 player.

When these come out on iTunes, will it be under the current Jamil show or will we need to subscribe to a new feed?

Looking forward to Moose Drool on the 16th!

What about doing a Barley wine like Young's Old Nick and then do a parti-gyle and create another beer from that mash? I think something like that would benefit all of us. Just a thought...
