Thu Apr 20, 2006 9:21 am

Ok so I tryed gettting my water report online no luck. The gal at the city was nice enough to mail me one. So I got it all in front of me but have no idea what to do with the damn thing. Anybody want to tell me what to do with it other than use it to start a chimney of charcoal in the grill.

Ben,
I am limited on time this morning but here is a link to how to interpret your water profile. http://www.ext.vt.edu/pubs/housing/356-489/356-489.html

What you are most interested in is the Calcium content and other minerals present and what parts per million (ppm) that the occur.

Also, don't fergit RA or residual alkalinity which is actually what you're really looking for in terms of brewing water quality. Hope this helps, and as always ttyal, and ilbcnu!

Prost!
