Great Northern Brewing Company’s founder Minott Wessinger, general manager Marcus Duffey, and brewmaster Joe Barberis join the Brewcasters for this week’s Session. Minott, a fifth generation brewer and great grandson of the legendary Henry Weinhard, built the custom-designed brewery in 1994 with the objective of brewing a craft lager that would turn the world on to a higher standard of beer. From their flagship, widely distributed Black Star to their growing arsenal of fine craft beers, Great Northern and its state-of-the-art facility has become a staple of their community in Whitefish, Montana.
