Thanks everyone! Eloping would be great, but we are both looking forward to a nice wedding. Besides, I am already planning my Vegas bachelor party! Well... my friends have already started planning it anyways.

As for the website, I know it doesn't work with Firefox. It was my first website, so I just used what I had on my work computer, which was MS Publisher. I want to revamp the whole thing with Frontpage at some point... just have to find the time.

Congratulations I think . Do as small of a wedding as you can get away with. I was stuck with 300 or so showing up. I only wanted 10. Ok maybey 20. Make sure she gets what she wants otherwise you pay for it later.

Congrats! I'm in year 4... The way I look at it, I go to sleep every night and wake up every morning next to my best friend. Oh, and she puts up with all the brewing crap I have floating around the house.

Haven't done the house thing yet... proabaly jumped the gun a bit and have the baby on the way first. The newest member of the BN army will arrive in early March!

Right on, Thirsty Mallard! I too am walking a path near Thirsty Boy's... getting married was the best thing I've ever done (7 years ago now).

For whatever reason it seems to help my wife to repeat the mantra, "His behavior is not a reflection of me" over and over. Don't know why.

After a couple of weeks of trying to plan a wedding we gave up and let my folks book a beach on Maui for just our immediate families and a morning ceremony. RAWK. HIGHLY recommended.

Have fun!

My wife and I rented a "ballroom" $200 or so...
Got married in the corner under a little arch, uncle officiated (judge)
10 minutes later it was hours'douvers and open bar with dancing.
take as many pictures first, that way you and everyone else isn't waiting for 3 fucking hours to see your ugly asses... or yours anyway I'm sure she is beautiful.
less than 3k for ours and it was simple and well not stress free but lower stress than all that excess crap that usually goes on.

I concur. My wife and I saved the money for the honeymoon. We used a restaurant at the beach that is not open for lunch. We did a brunch reception. They catered the whole affair and didn't charge us to rent the space. We had a small ceremony on their deck next to the waterway. Had around 80 guests and the whole affair cost 2052.00. I was out of pocket 52.00, my folks gave us 2000 as a present.

Remember dude the ceremony only lasts around 20 minutes....

ours was pretty simple as well...ours cost us 2,000-3,000 ... which wasn't bad...lots of people showed up and had a great time we had a dj at the reception and my aunt and uncle did the food for all of us which was fantastic since my uncle is a chef and they did make us pay for it but they gave it back to us at our reception :) our family helped pay for some of the stuff which was fucking awesome and it helped a lot..hubby's mom still has our flowers which i would like to get back but i have no idea where the hell to put them...so she can just keep them until i'm ready :)
and we got a lot of things at a discount since hubby's aunts did flowers at the time...and we knew a lady that did cakes...and she did ours and it turned out great....we didn't have to decorate the reception cuz the ladys that did the flowers did it for us too :) a friend did the pictures which he was a real photographer and did great pics and blah blah blah
wasn't stress free and i wanted to kill almost everyone but it turned out great and we had a great time :)
so thats all that you need to worry about ...is that you have fun and enjoy that "SPECIAL" day

We did the traditional church thing, with reception at a country club, flowers, cake, photos, dinner, modified open bar (wine and beer), limo, favors. Not sure what the final bill came too but, let's think midsize car. All this for 125 people.

Was it worth it? Getting married, yes. All the extra's? Well, not so sure about that. The day went so quick I don't remember much.

Father's in the cellar mixing up the hops,
