Palisade Plugs

Sun Mar 19, 2006 10:22 am

My LHBS now carries plug hops and I'm thinking of starting to dry hop with them. One of the hops they have that I think would be good for my ales is Palisade. Anybody out there try these yet?

Never heard of them until now. Just checked Hop Union's book on Hop Variety Characteristics and they don't even list it. What do you know about this hop?

From what I've read, it's supposed to be a good all-purpose hop (if there is such a thing). Bittering, flavor, or aroma. Maybe kind of like what people use Centennials for. One-hop ales and the like.
