Pizza Beer - AV Club review

Tue Mar 18, 2008 8:21 pm

I just thought this was funny. Not sure that I would ever want to try it tho. Best quote for the article...

"When you tilt it toward your face, you can smell tomatoes, and it kinda makes you gag."

A very silly place... http://yarnzombie.net/Travis/

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

Yeah, that never really appealed to me. Almost sounds as bad as BILK!

I'd probably skip over that one. I'm adventurous, but come on...

I read the review and it didn't sound horrible. I would certainly try it if I could get my hands on some. Doesn't sound any weirder than pepper beers to me - 2 great tastes that don't sound like they would taste great together, but done well can be very good...

...or at least not nauseating!

I had the original homebrewed version last year at a comp. It wasn't a bad beer...interesting anyway. If you like interesting beers...

I snagged one of these out of curiosity a couple weeks back. The aroma is a nice horrid blend of onions, garlic and oregano. It tasted kind of like an amber...a lot more mellow than the smell would suggest. Doubt I'll grab another one though.
Pri: Community Nudity Ale, Magician Red Ale, Berliner Weisse
Bottled: Paxton's Tripel and Dubbel, 400 Rabbits Ale, Cap'n Crunch Amber Oat Ale
