The on demand probably isn't so bad to upgrade to if you have electric, but gas is different because you have to re pipe the exaust etc... kinda a pain in the ass... plus its 1-1.5k vs 250 $.
But yeah if I was building a new house, on demand is the way to go!

glad that's all that happened. that could have been baaaaadddd! nothing like holidays and plumbing. at least after sweating, swearing and busting a knuckle, the mrs. won't complain about you having a cold one or 7.

Update: $320 later, I have hot water again.

$249 for the heater, the rest for plumbing supplies and a replacement pipe wrench - I can't find mine anywhere.

Oh, and it was a good idea to just buy a new pipe wrench, after Bub uses it, you may not want it back... It will be all sticky and smell funny.
