Adopt a poor brewer

Mon Jan 09, 2006 5:55 pm

I'm still listening to the archived show, but I really think that J should get us guys who do have a kegging system involved in the contest. How about an "Adopt a poor brewer" qualifier? Let 1 brewer who DOES have a system qualify on behalf of another brewer. We'd like to be involved in your craziness too and don't even care about the system since we already have one!

I qualify... have been saving up to by a $24 cooler to mash with for weeks

I also can't listen to the live shows all the time so a stand in would be cool.

Okay, I officially adopt 2dogale as my poor brewer if J lets me (unless he's "bringin' it weak" he will!)

for me I like the Idea that you have to listen live to win, it is advertising for Northern brewer after all......

MAybe if J does :"bring it strong" the people that cant listen live can submit an essay any why they should qual......and everyone else can vote on it?

I agree. Believe me, I'd win a prize for scraping money from the bottom of the barrel (or keg), but I don't think it would be right for me to win solely because someone adopted me.

I think that to win you should have to listen and participate - even if participation is a giant essay on why you should be considered.

And to be a good egg I just bought a Beer Gun from them. Does that get Justin some brownie points?

I think Oz is right, you should have to at least listen to win.

Thanks anyway Wichita.

I am not all the way through the archive (about 50 minutes left) but I don't like the idea of adopting a brewer and calling in for others. If you want to win something you should have to listen and put in the time yourself. I don't think someone should be able to participate for someone else. I am sure Justin will be giving away the other items that people who already have a kegerator can win (like the new BN t-shirts).

I know a lot of people listen to the archives (like myself) but the BN is trying to increase their audience and making a friend listen to the show if they want to win can only help. Just my 2 cents.
