I'm gonna hop in here along the same topic, hope you don't mind Fierce Beard. Just brewed a Caramel Red Rye with fresh hops off the bine. Was supposed to have a lb of flaked rye to go with the 2 lbs Am rye, but they sent me Flaked Barley instead. I mean it was marked FB on the bag and did'nt taste like rye, so I'm sure it wasn't flaked rye. Didn't have time to exchange or get more so I used it. Never used flaked Barley before so, just like The Beard asked, what should I expext as the difference in the finished beer. BTW, mash and boil went great and is fermenting nicely. :pop
