Free Hops

Sun Jun 26, 2011 1:01 pm

My local brewing club here in Yakima received 300 lbs of brewer's cuts from the Hop Union. The response from club members has been dismal and they are sitting in an unrefridgerated garage. We need to give them out or we will end up throwing them out. So if anyone would like to get some free hops and would be willing to drive you could stock up (and I mean stock up). For those of you who don't know a brewer's cut is a block cut from a 220 lb bail for testing purposes. They weigh roughly 1 lb. Some are 1/2 poundish and some are nearly two pounds. For those of you further away I'm thinking of shipping them USPS for shipping plus a small handling charge. I hate to see all these hops go to waste. I'm not shipping international, sorry.

the varieties are:
Amarillo
Cascade (tons of)
Centennial
Columbus
Chinook
Crystal
Fuggle
Galena
Glacier
Liberty
Magnum
Millenium
Mt. Hood
Newport
Nugget
Palisade(tons of this too)
Perle
Santiam
Simcoe
Tettnanger
Warrior
Willamette

I'm charging $25 for 5 large bricks for a total of 8 lbs of hops.
