Wow! This thread is AWSOME! I almost pissed myself reading this all the way through for the first time. Common ground: I built a counter with sink and mini fridge up against my house on my back deck. On the end post I attached a bottle opener. The caps would fall down into a little quart pail that I would NEVER empty. They started to spill over and eventually would drop a few inches into the herb bed at the base of our large rosemary bush. After a while, I would just dump the pail over into the bed. I reached down and spread them around a bit. I think it looks really cool, and I may have my wife sold on the idea of this "art-decco" mulch. Recycling, holds moisture, never needs replacing! Eventually, I'll have enough to mulch the whole herb garden. :pop

Well, it's redder that it used to be. I moved down here from Maryland about 15 years ago. And for the record, my wife hates the idea of bottle cap mulch for her herb bed. Maybe I should'nt have asked what she thought.

I had forrgoten about this thread, totally hillarious and heart warming at the same time.
Please note that not all woman are perfect. At my workplace we have an executive woman who would have a tangerine every day and she would throw the peels to her gargabe bin and would often miss. Seems as though she would pick up what she saw and would ignore what was not in plain sight. That was intill her office was infested with fruit flies. She tried to deny she was the root of the problem, that is until our matenaince man moved her desk to find a mound of old moldy tangerine peels. I think the phrase "harvesting penicillin?" came up.
At least the bottle caps did not cause any infestation!

i keep buying cases of 21A beers. I usually drink them when I'm BBQing, snow blowing, or random yard work when i don't want a glass of beer from the tap.

my basement has a drywall ceiling and there is a hole in this one spot that i can just fit my hand through and the empty can. I have been shoving empty can after can up in that space. Its going to be awesome when a future owner pulls down that ceiling someday and gets showered with Sully's cans.

Do you at least rinse them first? Otherwise you might want to read that mold/fruitfly story again. Just sayin' :)

^ or a couple of new house hold pets, with 8 to 10 legs. lol.

what's with people + beer = annoyingly repetitive habits with no motivation whatsoever in doing so. lol.

my beer drinking habits would have to be that i always want to drink my cold beer wearing only my boxers. and do whatever, surf the net or watch dvds. i could watch dvds and surf the net wearing normal clothes, but i prefer doing it on boxers if i have a beer. i dunno. lol.
