Bells Two Hearted Ale

Finally got around to doing a review tasting of this stuff. I find the more reviews I try the better I'm getting at categorizing styles and the more I recognize flavors.

Anyway, I tried Surly last week and this week I decided to do another American IPA. I felt the results were somewhat similar. I like IPA's, but I'm not sure how much I like the apparent sweetness associated with the American style. We'll see though. I haven't had to many English or Imperial's either.

Anyway, I thought it was pretty good, but I wouldn't make a night out of it.

How bout you guys?

I love Bells Two Hearted, and I am actually fermenting my second batch of a clone of it. One cool thing about Bell's is they bottle condition so you can use their yeast in a clone

How would you go about propagating yeast off of a bottle of beer?

Its actually quite easy.....you buy a six pack and pour out all but a quarter inch or so at the bottom of a few bottles(make sure you sanitize the top of the bottle)...I used three and just add that to a small amount of cooled starter...and wait a few days...took about 2-3 days before I saw any activity, then you can just step it up with a larger amount of starter..do that until you have enough yeast to pitch

I did it off a bottle of two hearted, but I have heard it is better to do it off of one of their lower alcohol beers, so the yeast is not as stressed, but I didn't have any problems with mine.

Speaking of the minikegs, has anyone messed around with refilling them? Seems doable, and useful for small gatherings, tailgates, etc... What's the catch? There must be a catch.
