Hey there, I run http://www.NikoBrew.com and we just started running an ad on The Sunday Session. Some of you have responded to this already and we're excited to a part of the BN. I've posted a lot on http://www.homebrewtalk.com and I have a main thread there so I figured I'd start one here. I'm always looking to get in varieties of hops that people want, and do my best to make hops affordable for everybody. Some of the things we feel set us apart from the rest.
Flat rate $5 shipping - No matter what the quantity and yes this includes Hawaii and Alaska (for hops, though shipping wort chillers and co2 tanks to those states does cost more). This also is not some slow 7-10 business day shipping. 99% of our hops orders go out via USPS priority, some go FedEx (you can request it go USPS if you need it quicker and we won't charge you any extra) regardless when we ship you typically get your hops within 1-2 business days.
Packaging - We know not everybody has vacuum sealers. For those that do we use foodsaver bags for all our packaging (except for the 5lb and 11lb bags as they ship in foil packaging). Buy a pound of hops, use a couple ounces, seal it up again (any home vacuum sealer will work, off brands are fine it doesn't have to be a foodsaver). If you don't have a vacuum sealer at all and you order by the ounce you can leave in the shopping cart comments what increments you'd like your hops broken up into at no extra charge (minimum of 2oz per package). We try to accomodate all brewers the best we can, and don't want to limit people to just buying pounds.
Communication - One of the most important things to us is being able to stay in constant communication will all of our customers. Someday we may grow to the point that we have employees that handle much of this though at this point we are proud to say we can get back to you shortly regarding just about anything. We also of course strive to have competitive prices. We also carry some hops that you can't find at any other online store. At this point we carry 20 varieties and are always growing, running polls what to carry next etc.
